Frequently Asked Questions
What are you wondering that we can answer now?
01
What is the Value on Investment?
It depends!
The scope of a project matters.

We will share information compares your baseline to improvements (actual or projected).

We offer user friendly deliverables, quick wins when possible, and co-created solution options.
These are all developed by leveraging our expertise and your team's knowledge.

Potential VOI can be discussed in project chartering.

VOI and ROI is absolutly proportional to the effort your team puts in.
We come in as an asset to your business, not a liability, leaving you with better financial and/or non-financial results from the work we do together!
02
How long do projects take?
You're going to hate this, it depends!

Projects can be approached as a Design Sprint or Rapid Improvement Event that can happen in the course of 3-5 days.
Or if there is a little more complexity, time constraints, etc...this model can be spread out over weeks/months.
Both models will require pre-planning and post analysis by Timbre Consulting Studio.

Project length can be impacted by scope, the number of stakeholders, the size of your project team, research and data collection required, your timeline, and your teams availability.
Smaller projects like simple current state process mapping or business name generation can take as little as 1-2 days.
Larger projects that require stakeholder interviews, process observations, root cause analyses, prototyping and testing can take weeks or months.

When your team is committed and attends working sessions/meetings, it makes scheduling easy and projects stay on time.
03
What time commitment is required from me?
We want you involved and we value/respect your time.

Your weekly/monthly time commitment will depend on project scope, complexity, and timeline.

This will be outlined in your service agreement.

Typically you can expect to need time for reviewing emails or documents, working sessions, scheduling, interviews and/or observations, and project check-ins.
Sometimes this is 1-4 hours a week, or if there is working session or observation or rapid improvement event - it could require more time.

Lengths of projects require the most time from the Timbre team, as we spend time developing, analyzing and synthesizing data, and generating meaningful reports and deliverables for you.
04
Do you work on small projects?
Smaller projects and trainings are a thing!

We love working on smaller projects that may have just one deliverable.

Such as:
-
Business naming idea generation
-
Creating your mission, vision, and values
-
Small business planning basics
-
Current state basic process mapping.
-
Designing and building an employee sentiment survey
-
Continued data review to manage KPIs
-
Training sessions
-
Meeting facilitation
-
etc...
05
Do you offer 1-time consulting?
Yes.

Longer-term consulting provides the space for your business/team to build accountability, and while a full scale project can offer more foundation for this, you can also talk to us about more short-term or one-off options.

Please reach out to us, we would love to support you with smaller project work, training courses, facilitated workshop/meeting options, etc.
06
Do you offer customized training?
We do!

Our training is customizable to fit your needs.
We start working on this with a project intake call to explore your needs and co-create an effective solution.

Maybe all you need is a training session to learn a new tool...or maybe training is part of a larger project.
More information can be discussed on an intake call.
07
Do I need existing data to work with you?
No!

Don't let this be the thing that stops you in your tracks.

We can help find meaningful data with you. You don't need to know everything at the start, this is what project work is for!
Timbre will work with you to make a data collection plan.
Finding qualitative and quantitative data is built into project phases.

We'll leverage both types of data to turn insights into action so you can make data informed decisions.

We want to use the right data to solve the right problem!
08
How are results measured?
Once we begin working with you, we'll help you define your goals, objectives, metrics of success, and desired deliverables.

This will keep things on track and inform us on what methods we'll use to discover counter measures and solutions.

All this will be used to track and measure results.

10
What if I want to cancel a project before it is complete?
The possibility of project cancellation, from client or Timbre, is outlined in every service agreement.

We strongly recommend you allow your project the time it needs to show results.

We understand things come up, so while you are working with Timbre if there are extenuating circumstances or things change, we will work with you to find a suitable solution.

Cost
You might be wondering, "what might this cost?", we want to give you a guesstimate.
O
Most of our consulting packages work on a monthly retainer basis due to timelines spanning over 2 months or more. Your investment could range, on average, from $1100+, $3200+, or $9300+ per month. This is dependent on factors like project size/type, your goals, challenges, timeline, # of working sessions, how much time you can commit to working with us, project team size, etc...

If your project is on the larger or complex side, has a rapid timeline, and can be fit into one month, the cost may be more than $9300. This can be discussed during scoping.

Meeting planning and facilitation can range from $800 - $2000+

You can start working with us by using our "Contact Us" form and book an initial consultation. This will provide you an idea of what our consulting plan can look like, so both you and Timbre Consulting Studio can start out on the same page.

Ask us about our sliding scale for qualifying micro businesses and sole proprietors!

Why aren't initial consultations always free?
